Hi, I am still trying to get a solution to fixing
ipconfig.exe which windows shows as an error
("ipconfig.exe is not a valid Win 32 application") when
run from cmd prompt. No ipconfig commands will run this
way. It may have been damaged by a virus which has since
been removed and the problem seems to be with the MBR.
Running chkdsk does not pick it up. I would like to
repair this file if possible but not sure how yet and am
reluctant to resort to the recovery console just yet. ISP
unable to help and it is causing me problems with some
backup software which used to run fine.
