It seems that somehow FP 2000 (running on laptop using WIN
ME) has become corrupted.

When trying to open a frames page in a new web, I can no
longer get anything else except a new page. There is no
window coming up with frames pages etc.

It has been suggested that I need to delete FP and
reinstall it. OK but what happens to the websites I have
in it, one published on www and the others running on my
laptop? How can I keep them and not mess them up?

I cannot find anything in FP help under detect or repair
that will correct the lack of the frames window under new
page.

Try Tools Page Options Compatibility and make sure Frames are turned on, and you are opening a web , not just a page
