i am using windows xp (sp3) everytime i open word 2002 i get error mess that
reads - expection code (code 0x00001428 ) i have gone to chat support and
they told me it was corruted files so what i need is to know where to get
these files so i can reinstall them thanxx for all your help

This is not an XP issue as much as it is an issue with Word. You might want to
repost this to the public.word.application.errors

sometimes, simply reinstalling programs
resolves the corruption.
