I am receiving emails with attachments that say they are a "winmail.dat". I
am unable to open them as they show that it is a "corruptedcompressedfile".
I had no problems with these emails when I had Windows XP - why can't I open
them now??

Ask the sender to use plain text to send the message/attachment again.

They are being sent from MS Outlook in a format called RTF, only MS Outlook
can recognise them.
