My XP home Pc has been acting strange recently, and has
shutdown unexpectedly a couple times, still haven't found
cause but one consequence that my user profile became
corrupted.
Can start up ok with new profile but have lost access to
quite a few files (I know should have made a backup!), I
did - October 2003 - so I have lost recent work.
i can navigate to the old profile through explorer when I
try to open I have message "access denied" is this becase
the profile is corrupt or because the profile was
passworded or the folder was not shared ?

Any help or comments appreciated
