There's a very simple manner to discover if you have a
really corrupt TCP/IP stack
simply ping yourself @ localhost
if you dont get an answer from localhost this means you
could have a corrupt network stack...
In this case you could try to reinstall your stack from
the netshell of windows XP with the following command...
in command type netsh
then type this command in the netshell : int ip reset
You can make a log file of all the items that has been
reinstalled by adding a name and location at the end of
the command...
