I think I have a corrupt registry, is there a tool out
there to detect, verify & repair this problem? (wouldn't
that be cool)

Hi

If the Registry was corrupt you would probably see an error message to that
effect. What makes you think that the Registry is corrupt?

Because any modifications i do to the registry doesn't get
saved. Everytime I logoff or restart the pc it reverts back
to its original state.

Hi

Try a System Restore back to a point before the problem started. Then try
editing the Registry again. Are you modifying the Registry manually or with
a 3rd party program?

Problem has been on-going for awhile now (months maybe more
than a year) so I don't really know how far I should go back.

I'm using regedt32 to make my modifications.

I'm just looking for a tool to detect & repair a bad
registry. Know of any besides system restore?

Hi

SR is probably the best way to go, as some of these Registry cleaners can
cause even more problems. You may like to think about backing up the
Registry with 3rd party program. That way it can be restored if you any
more problems:

I use a program called Erunt to backup the Registry. Please read the
Detailed Information file for help on the program's options:
