Windows 2000 Pro & SP4

Is there a simple way to get around WFP & Windows Installer so i can
replace all of my protected dll files?
My Event Viewer says it needs to replace as many as a 100 of these dll
files.
Is there software (preferably free) to do it?

The "DLL HELL" method of using the "DUPs" utility is too complicated
for me.
Does any one have a more simple method of dealing with is problem?

Thanks

Might want to check on 'scannow' system file checker in help
