Running 2003 Microsoft
The corrupt profile message appears when I initially attempt to log onto the
machine: "Windows cannot load the locally stored profle. Possible causes of
tis error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile..."
DETAIL - anI/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverablyl..."
What I have done:
1.) Increased the virtual memory (based on recommendations in a Microsoft
discussion group) with hopes that my profile would load. Didn't work.
Returned virtual memory to suggested level.
2.) Conducted a virus scan intended to look more deeply at a virus issue
directed at my profile since no one else's profile on the compter has been
affected. Nothing there.
Thank you for your time and consideration of my problem.
