I have one user with outlook 2007 on winxp64bit who has a problem with his
profile.
1st when he starts outlook it locks in the splash screen- in safe mode -it
doesnt appear on screen but
appears as a process in taskmanager. I tried removing profile and it
locks up when try to
are there any files I can remove to force a new profile? I can Not find
outcmd.dat anywhere- (that was the fix last time). I can log in with any
other windows profile and load this users profile also- so it isnt exchaneg
server.

any ideas or fixes welcom

Carl

Hi Carl,

you can try the command "Cleanprofile":
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/commandlines.htm

Or you can try to remove the profil in the "Control Panel/Mail" Doubleclick
on "Mail" => Delete Profiles and restart the complete Computer.

Now, if you start Outlook, Outlook will ask you for the name of the new
profile.

Maybe it helps.

Thanks
Unfortunately the mail setup locks up when we try to delete the offending
profile.
I will try the cleanprofile command though

Hi CNewsReader,

you can also use this freeware tool to delete all registry entries of your
profiles.
http://www.publicshareware.com/outlo...ix-profile.php

Maybe it helps.
