Corrupt navigation

Am building a website with three levels:
level one - index,
level 2 - main menu items,
level 3 - children pages to level 2

Page layout is determiend by use of DWTs, no shared borders employed. Each
page has two link bars based on navigation structure. Vert left-hand nav
displays level 2 showing child pages under home. Horizontal nav displays
level 3.

The moment a change is made to any of the DWT files or a page is moved I get
missing links in browser pre-view.

I have tried re-publishing a number of times as suggested by Article ID :
308137 but no joy. Likewise have tried building the site from scratch. Am
obviously doing something drastically wrong, suggestions highly welcome!!!!

Thanks for the post Chris. Unfortunately that didn't work. This is very
frustrating as the missing links are not consistent i.e. on some pages they
display fine, others not at all. I'm assuming that as the same template is
used it's not so much a question of how it's been put together as a possible
software bug?

sorry for your troubles.
here's a couple of other suggestions:
download and run this:
http://95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm

also, try tools/ recalculate hyprelinks (this actually does more than the
name implies).

It would seem to me that the pages are out of sync with the DWT.

Do you have a link to the pages?

Chris, thanks for the suggestions. Have tried all including reinstalling
Frontpage but still same problem. I don't have a link to the pages
unfortunately as am first developing it on my desktop. Do you know where I
might temporarily publish so that you could take a quick look or can I send
you a zip file or so?
