Corrupt or missing ntfs.sys

Your help please
I started to do an update on WIN2000 and experienced some
instability so I shut down the computer and tried to boot
however up came the above error, it also says to insert
the original WIN2000 disk and try to repair the
installation. I have done this howevcer am not sure what
command to use in the repair console. By the way I dont
have an ERD on this machine.
Any suggestions
