It is unclear in your post, what is reporting the corrupt file.
Can you post the exact text in the error message, including any
numbers ?
Do you know the actual program reporting the corruption ?
It would be wonderful, if the "asknerd" suggestion of magical
programs that cure everything, was true in fact. The promise
of cure-all programs, is how so many people are tricked into
falling for scams. And why so many malware repair forums are
swamped with "rogue program removal" requests.

To check the health of the underlying hard drive, you can use
the free version of HDTune (2.55).

This test isn't doing any more work, than the thorough option
of chkdsk would do. But it does it in an easy to understand
graphical display. It shows blocks on the disk that have CRC
errors. You don't really want any red blocks at all, only
green ones. This isn't a file system check, it is a check of
the ability to read data from the disk drive.

If you had red blocks, it would be easier to understand your problem.
It isn't likely to be CRC errors, because your reports of corruption
are isolated to one set of files. But it doesn't hurt to take a look.
In any case, I'd like to see the actual error message, and info
on what tool is reporting the problem, because the corruption could be
caused by something else. And exact error messages really help.
Also, on my computer, I have a
C:\System Volume Information
Is that what the message is reporting as the location of the problem ?
