Yesterday i downloaded a movie clip which when it went to play on widows
media player it said the file was corrupt. This morning when i turned on my
computer it went into a check which said it was checking for consistancy on
my hard drive. Does this seem like my computer is now affected in any way?
It seems to be running ok. Would my computer accept the file if it knew it
was corrupt and does any one think this a major problem ( ie security ) as
you may tell i am not an expert on computers and any help would be greatly
appreciated. Cheers.

i'd say it's more like you didn't shutdown properly or something, perhaps.
