just lost a file in my documents, it has been there
over 1 year. I store passwords, and lots of info.
Tonight I keep getting a error message stating the file
is corrupt, or that it may be being used by another
application, or that the file format may not be supported
by any of the installed convertors. It then goes to a
works file that is blank, and it is titled the same as
thecorrupted ? oneIs there any way I can retrive this
file?

thanks
Leanna

Hi there,
If the file is a document (text) file then you may be able to save part of it, right click the file, then go to Open With, click Notepad or Wordpad (try both) and you *MAY* be able to retrieve some text from it (formatting will not be proper though). This has saved me a few times for corrupted stuff, hopefully that works, thx for reading and I hope I helped. Bye.
