I keep getting a window coming up saying:
The file or directory \Documents and settings\All
Users\Applications Data\Support.com\profiles\mac.id is
corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility.

I cannot find neither the file nor the chkdsk utility file
so I have no clue how to fix it. Please help.

Chkdsk does not have an icon. You must run it from the Command Prompt. Go the
Command Prompt, and in the blank box type:

chkdsk

and press Enter. If unsure about what you are about to do, go to Help and
search for Chkdsk first.

Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt

BTW, you may have to reconstruct some of the "permissions" and "user
profiles" on your computer. All depends on how corrupt those files are, and
how well W2K can restore them.

WARNING: chkdsk can "lose" files, although it's not very likely. You should
have a second partition on your drive to store data that you can't afford to
lose. To make a second partition, go to Disk Management.

Start --> Settings --> Control Panel -- Administrative Tools --> Computer
Management --> Storage

Select "graphical view", click in the unallocated space, select Create
Partition, and a wizard will guide you. Depending on the size of your drive,
make the second partition 5GB or more, but make sure that the W2K partition
(C i at least 5GB in size. The new partition will be D:. If you don't like
that letter, you can change it with Disk Management. Read the Help.

You can set all your programs to store their data (your documents, etc) in
folders that you create on D:. That's a Very Good Idea, because then the risk
of losing data will be very low when you have to repair or reinstall W2K.
