corrupt evt files

I am not sure I understand exactly which files you mean.
Or at least I don't think that these are a problem.

I tested the system by loading the system from bootable CD.

Then I deleted the evt files from the unprotected part.
Then I let the system restart using the protected part.

I didn't experience any problems. The system just recreated the event
files that it needed.

Or am I missing something?
