I am running Office PRO XP Outlook 2003. When I send an
attachment .pdf or .ppt the files are being corrupted. I
have tryied this on three different systems and get the
same result. I have worked with my ISP and have used the
WEB based mail system to send attachments and it works
fine. I can receive attachments using Outlook 2003 with
no problem. I have been trying to solve this issue for
several weeks with no luck. There must be somehing within
Outlook 2003 that is messing with the attachment when it
is being sent. THe only common thread is that I purchased
a 5 user license from Microsoft and the CD was used to
upgrade all three systrem to Office XP Pro 2003.

Thanks George

In what message format are you sending? Does it also happen when sending in
Plain Text?

I am not sure what you are asking? The main body of the
message is plain text. I attach a .pdf or .ppt file to
the message and send. When I go an open it the main
message is fine but the attachment is corrupted.

I asked what the message format was. This can be 3 types; Plain Text, HTML
or Rich Text. Does this only happen with these types of attachments? Do they
show up correctly when you send the files in a zip-file? Are you sending by
SMTP directly or through a corporate mailserver like Exchange?

The attachements are .pdf or .ppt files. The message body
can be plain text, rich text, or html. It is the
attachment that has the problem. I can send Word
attachments and Publisher attachments and things work
fine. I am connect to an ISP (Adelphia)and using OUtlook.
I have tried connecting directly to Adelphia using there
WEB based mail system using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
When I create an email and attach the same attachment
typies that I am having a problem with it works fine when
I receive the email with Outlook. THe issue seems to be
when I sent the email from Outlook.
