Corrupt "Add/Remove Programs"

For some reason the "Add/Remove Programs" function of
Control Panel seems to be corrupted. Only a few of the
programs on my machine show up as usual, others are still
present, but all I see is weirg names
like "aspi", "CCScore", "ESSTUTOR", etc., and I no longer
have the option of uninstalling any programs.

Any ideas??
