Corrupt AD to good AD

Tried to migrate from a corrupt Windows 2000 AD forest
(configured as name w/o fqdn) to a newly created Win 2k
Ad forest. I finally found a document that stated in
order for ADMT to work you need to create an external
trust relationship. I figured that if I could create a
trust then I could move the computer to the new forest
and run the moveuser util (since the domain\user) is
still around.

Any ideas on how to get the XP profiles migrated for the
50 machines? How could I establish the trust? Once I get
the trust working do I need to install ADMT to each
computer in order to migrate each machines's local
profile?
