I am trying to install Windows Xp Pro on a new machine and I get an error message that says "The File acpi.sys is corrupted" the computer then restarts. Is this a problem with the disk or could it be something wrong with the computer?

HI,
The problem would not be with the Disk or CDROM, try checking you
memory(RAM). this problem usually occurs only the RAM is not good. Try re
installing the OS after changing the RAM.

Raj
