When I open a photo in photo manager, if I take a photo with the camera
sideways, the tree is 6 feet high. If i then turn the photo, the tree
becomes 4 feet high and squashed.

How do I fix this? Is this something called aspect ratio? not sure what to
do.

thank you.

Use a regular editing program, even Paint will work. Paint.NET is free and
better yet.

www.irfanview.com and its plug-ins are free as well and do rotation and lots of
other things too.
