Correctly Addressed message goes to wrong recipient

Hello,

I have an Outlook 2003 user with a strange issue. My user creates a
new message addressed to Person 1 (who is in his address book). The
name AND email addressed displayed in the "To:" line are correct.
After pressing Send the user checks his Outbox and that message is now
addressed to Person 2 (who is also in his address book).

I have tried this myself several times and it's the strangest thing
I've seen. The message is correctly addressed to Person 1. Correct
name and email address with the same information that is in the
contact for the recipient. After hitting send the message is actually
delivered to Person 2. The address changes only for Person 1 and only
changes to Person 2 (so only two people are effected by this).

I have recreated both contacts from scratch and the issue still
persists. Please let me know if anyone has ideas.

Best Regards,

Aaron

You haven't provided enough information. State how the recipient is being
selected and whether autocompletion or autoresolution is in play here.

My apologies. Autocompletion was at play.

I renamed the Outlook.NK2 file and the issue was resolved. I can
provide more information if necessary.

Best Regards,

Aaron

Are there any remaining questions? Users need to be trained in how to use
autocompletion. If they can't, disable it.
