I am setting a newly purchased HP/Compaq computer with
Windows XP and Office XP. The technician who set those
products up, made a typo in the name of the user who will
use this machine, as it appears in the "Registered to:"
area of the Windows XP System Properties and in "This
product is licensed to:" of the "Help - About" window of
Office XP.
I need to correct this typo. Is there any way to correct
the name (change 1 letter) without re-installing
everything?

Jacques

Have a look at these...
