i am converting winxp from fat to ntfs and have run into
numerous opinions on the size of the placeholder file
needed for the master file table winxp inside and out
says 12.5% of total disk space but there is a knowledge
base article that states 500mb for all conversions i
would rather be safe then sorry but the difference is
huge anybody got an opinion I would appreciate the help
also since winxp inside and out's directions for the
conversion where wrong i dont know why i would trust
there number. This is why i hocked up 45 bucks for the
book and wonder now what other info in it is bogus
