Hello, I need some opinions: does MicroSoft own any
improvements I may have made to their products? Because,
if they do, I will stop/or develop offline for my own
satisfaction. Thank You

Hi, What do you mean by "improvements"?

* Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation and
Disassembly. You may not reverse engineer, decompile,
or disassemble the SOFTWARE, except and only to the
extent that such activity is expressly permitted by
applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.

* Separation of Components. The SOFTWARE is licensed as a
single product. Its component parts may not be separated
for use on more than one computer.

That all depends, on how you developed the "improvements"
and where you live.

The only opinions that count might be from a lawyer who
knows software copyright law and ultimately the courts.

They probably do not hold the copyright on half of what
you see here. Windows was to be a interface to third
party programs in it's concept. MS has knocked off ,
licensed others programs. Would they like your's probably
if they could get it for free .....lol. All you have to
do is look at their track record in court to see what
they do.

It seems that modification of any MS product is against the EULA. Read it
and see.

Modification of what? Just executable code, or human readable text
files, or adjustments available with MS provided software, or
modification of visual/audio aspects of the software? What about
hacking the software to be in Esperanto?

Anything that is delivered on the CD (or download) with a Microsoft
product is covered by some license agreement. Need to read them to know
what you are agreeing to.
