I would like to copy XP on to a brand new internal hard drive in order to
have more space available on the drive. I have a RAID array of 2 discs of
160 GB each making 320 GB total. I am considering buying a single 1 TB
drive. I have Acronis Trueimage which works well.

Is it just a matter of using Acronis to recopy the disc image on to the new
disc? Are there any issues with the fact I preently have 2 discs but want to
move to a single one?

My hunch is that it will operate as it was when it was in a RAID
setup. I've used Ghost to do what you are going to attempt to do and
it worked fine.

You should be able to 'clone' from the old setup to the new - *if* it is a
hardware RAID - with no problem.

You have two PHYSICAL disks, but only one LOGICAL disk. Another common
configuration is one PHYSICAL disks and many LOGICAL disks (via
partitioning).

Software, including Acronis, usually does not know or care how many physical
drives are involved in your configuration.
