Thanks Stanley for at least trying to see my meaning. I tried to download a
game from Silvercreek Entertainment and it asks me to put in Windows XP
because it needs a file from the disk.

Please reply to the original posting in the future - things are easier to
keep track of if you do not start a new posting until the old one is
'closed'.

Can you be VERY specific?
What I mean is - can you tell us exactly what game and what the message
states word-for-word?

If you can borrow a Windows CD (with the same version as yours) from a
friend that should work. Legally and unfortunately, you need to
contact Microsoft to get a replacement CD. The CD itself shows no
proof of having an authentic copy, but an invoice or holograph sticker
should be good enough. If you have CAB files on your hard drive you
may be able to point to that instead of a CD.
