Hi - I am trying to copy images from some websites into my powerpoint slide,
but end up with a horrible image and black background. For example, I am
trying to copy the smiley at http://messenger.yahoo.com which is at
http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/...t_smiley_1.gif

When I paste it into powerpoint I get a horrible image quality with black
background even though it looks fine on the website. This is happening with
other images to. Not sure how to get around it without using the heavy weight
tools like Adobe PhotoShop.

Appreciate the help,

Randhir

Never copy and paste from web sites! Always right click > save picture as and
then use insert > picture from file

In this case though you will do better to go to microsoft clip art online
and search for smile
http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/...C&Query=smiley

Did that answer the question / help?
