I used to be able to save .jpg photos in Google image to a .jpg format.
Now the choices I have are .art and .bmp.
I had this problem before and I was advised to add .jpg to the list of
supported files that could be opened, but I cannot recall exactly how to do
this.
Please refresh my memory.

Your Temporary Internet Files folder has become too full.

Empty it by going to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Internet
Options>General>Delete Files

Also...the issue could be related to AOL.
