Copying a photo card

I have a Sony digital camera which uses a memory stick and is connected via
usb2 to the pc.
I want to copy all the files from the card to the PC (simple enough) but I
also want to copy the deleted photos which I know are still on there. Does
anyone know of software that will do a complete copy of the card including
deleted files?

As I know someone is going to ask why on earth would I want to do this! The
answer is so that the card can be reused & I can work on recovering the
deleted photos later.

Thanks in advance,

Geoff.

You'd need to somehow get a sector-by-sector image/clone of the card, not a
copy. If you have stuff on there that you want to recover (and I'm not
certain you can; have never tried this ona memory stick), you should
immediately stop using it entirely - then get some undelete software and see
what it can find.

I agree. And by the way, undelete software *does* work on camera media
cards. I've done this successfully.

Most file recovery utilities (undelete utilities) will recover deleted files
from FLASH memory cards. It is actually better to recover from this media
because the way this type of card works means that subsequent writes don't
overwrite the files until all the media has been used.
