the DWTs are design time tools which generate the required html code on file save (or recalc hyperlinks)
If you are doing anything to the site or pages outside of FP, it will not recognize the changes and will probably corrupt the pages
(design time bots) or the FP SE on the site
Try opening the online site in FP and running a Tools Recalculate Hyperlink to see if FP picks up all your external edits and fixes
the FP web management files and web cache files
- then check you reports and pages for any problems
If you must edit pages outside of FP do not use any design time bots and put them in a separate subweb (which you should not open in
FP again)

| I have a website that is edited on a networked and published to a webserver.
| I use DWTs all over my site.
|
| I also use a live editing tool that bypasses the network and edits only the
| pages on the webserver. When I want to update these templates to the pages
| that aren't on the network I ftp them over to the network.
|
| What happens if I copy a page that is connected to a DWT? Does FP know that
| the new page is connected to the template when I transfer a page over to the
| network? Does FP keep a log file of all the pages that are connected to a
| particular template? If so, where is it?
|
| Thanks.
