.... and I cannot find a .PST file! From what I read, if I want to copy
my mail from one hard drive to another, I just need to copy that file,
but I do a search for it and nothing turns up! I'm sure that I'm not
hiding system files in Windows Explorer. And I put the old drive back
in the PC to be sure my mail was still there, and it is. Is there
another file that Outlook 2003 uses besides a .PST? ( I don't need my
contacts or calendar, those are on my Palm Pilot and I can do a sync to
get those back). Any ideas? I'm bewildered!

Unless you are running against Exchange Server, you must have a PST file.
You are not searching correctly. Why don't you just look at its properties
when Outlook is open to see its name and location?

You must enable viewing hidden files and folders. The PST is, by default,
in
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook .

The PST is not a system file so enabling viewing system files won't change
anything.
