We have one system that is having difficulty writing large files to CD or zip
drive. Will copy to the network server and to the same HD just fine, but
hangs when trying to copy files larger than 9MB to removable media. The
system either totally locks up or will display the "Windows is currently
working with a file..." message box which also requires a cold boot to get
around.

Have run diagnostics on all hardware and they come back clean. Have
reloaded the OS twice. The second time, the system worked flawlessly until
Windows updates where applied (only the criticals) then it started having the
same problems again. Uninstalled all updates and the problem remains. Ran
SFC and still the problem remains.

I have placed the HD into an identical system and it does the same thing,
but the other systems (all identical) do not have this problem. Software is
all similar.

All temp files have been deleted.

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I have over 15
hours into this problem and have no other ideas.
