Plastic Who,
Select the image, click copy on the formatting toolbar, go to the other
presentation (click on the taskbar of Windows or press CTRL+F6 to switch) -
click on the paste button.
Or open the two presentations, go to Windows menu, choose all windows.
Select the image, hold down the ctrl key and drag it to the other
presentation slide. First release your left mousebutton then the ctrl-key.
Does that help?

Luc.
I know it may appear that I am hijacking this post, but I have been trying
and trying to do this on my own several times over the last few weeks. Not
that I needed it, I was just curious whether or not it could be done. Your
reply Luc is now in my Tips Folder. The first suggestion worked absolutely
fine for me and I am as pleased as punch. Thany you all on this group for
being so patient with us newbies.

Thanks Luc but... I need to be able to select various different images on
different pages - for example two images from the first page, four from the
second, two from the third page etc Know what I mean?

I don't think that's doable. PPT's slides are a bit more discrete than, say,
Word's pages are.

Plastic Who,
Activate the Clipboard task pane, select your pictures and copy them one by
one by clicking on the copy button. It does not matter which slide they are
on. They should all show up in the clipboard. Now go to the other
presentation and paste them in, you can choose paste all or you can paste
them individually as needed.
