Two thoughts. First, you DVD ROM drive my be unable to actually rip the
DVD due to either copy protection or just read problems. Second, a
DVD-ROM usually contains more information than a standard DVD-R as they
are usually dual layer. This requires that you have a Dual Layer DVD
Burner in order to copy these movies.
I suggest trying DVDShrink and DVD Decryptor as those are two excellent
programs as well. See if you have better luck with those.
Also, did these errors occur when ripping or when writing?
