I'm setting up a number of Windows XP Pro machines in a corporate
environment, but although the machines are on a LAN, they operate
accross a workgroup rather than a domain.
To meet the business requirements to restrict access to some features
of Windows, I've configured the Group Policies for one PC. This
includes things like removing access to Control Panel, enforcing a
certain screen saver, wallpaper etc.
What I want to do is copy the all the settings from the Group Policy
accross to the others. Try as I might, I cannot find out how to do
this!!! I just want to automate my setup of these machines rather
than configuring 60 systems manually through gpedit.msc!!!
Someone suggested copying the .adm files, but I've now understand that
these are just templates and contain no information about settings.
I'm aware of Group Policy Management Console, but as I'm not working
in an Active Directory environment, I don't think this is an option.
Hopefully, what I want to do as achievable??? Can someone please
assist!?
TIA,
Chris.
