I just purchase a new computer with Windows XP Home. I
want to copy a large amount of files from my old
computer, XP Home also, to the new one. Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks....

If the files total 1 GB more or less, then you could write them to a CD or
two (with or without some compression), assuming your old PC has a CD-RW.
Long ago, it was called Sneaker Net.

If you're talking too many GB (too many CDs), some ISPs provide a large
private storage allocation for storing large files/backups (e.g. WT.net
provides a 30GB space for private/public storage for their users). I've
used mine recently to store over a hundred files (totaling 6 GB). Many ISPs
provide at least 10 GB for this purpose. By first compressing the files
into a single .ZIP folder (not WinZip), maybe you could upload/download it
all at once. I didn't try a single .ZIP folder, but I know a single .BKF
file (from MS Backup) wouldn't work (wouldn't restore).

You might want to update your links to the new lean and mean format.
Here, I've done these for you.
