Copying files to Network drive fails from time to time

Guys,

I got VB program copying 20 files from the local
directory to the mapped Network drive on the regular
basis. Very frequently some of the files are not copied
at all, but there is no rule here. Sometimes everything
is OK and when I try again e.g. 2 files out of 20 fail.
This happens after I moved the processing from Win98 to
WinXP. Do you possibly know of any patch or setting,
which would be of help in that situation?

I would be very thankful for every tip.
