I have another strange one. When a user copies (not moves) a message from
the inbox to a public folder, the date/time displayed in the list shows the
time the message was copied, not when it was received. When you open the
message, the date time correctly shows the received date/time.

This is Outlook 2003 SP2 on XP SP2 with Exchange as the mail server.

Thanks

Expand out the message list in the PF so that you finally get to see all the
column headings that are visible. I'm going to wager that the date column
that is fist is the Modified Date and not the Received Date.

I just tested this and it is the received date, not the modified date. I
also tested this with subfolder in my inbox and a pst archive folder. With
all of these it changes the date displayed under "received date" but, when
you open the message, it shows the correct date and time. Strange.

I'm (obviously) surprised.

If you right click on the message and pull up the properties, which date is
right?
