I have a number of machines that I want to have exactly the same desktop
layout, as in the icons and the location of the icons. I know where the icons
are stored, where is the location of the icons on the screen stored?

thanks

Are these computers part of a Domain and if so, are you using group
policies? I do this in my domain by having a group policy perform a Basic -
Redirect (in the Folder Redirection section) which points to a location on a
server. This location has the desktop icons I want them to have. You will
also need to enable the "Don't save settings on exit" policy in User
Configuration - Administrative Templates - Desktop.

thanks for your response. Any idea what the registry entries are that specify
the location on the screen? The machines are laptops and wil be on a domain
most of the time - however there will be times when they are not.

Thanks for your reply,

I think you may have misunderstood me, or I have misunderstood your answer

It is the location of the icons on the screen that I am trying to control,
not the actual icons themselves.

Regards
