Hello all,

I have a simple problem that is perplexing me. For some reason, when I
Copy and try to Paste Special between two different workbooks, It only
reads my copy as a picture and will only let me copy it as an image or
an object. I was doing this before with no problem. I would Ctrl - A
to select all and the Ctrl-C to copy and then I could paste special as
Values and Formats. Did I turn something on or off. Any help would be
appreciated! Thanks.

I'm not quite sure what all you're trying to copy or if you're trying to do
this manually or in visual basic. It sounds like you're doing it manually.
If there is protection on the worksheet then I don't think that objects that
are locked will be copied and pasted to the new workbook.
If you just want values and formats then copy and paste should work.
You should probably post in General section if you are doing this manually.

Check the file extension on your source file ( the one you copy ). I could
not duplicate problem with a .xls file.
