Copy XP User Profiles - Permission Denied

We are trying to copy user profiles from the local machine to a network
share. We have been doing this for months, but now we get permission denied
errors.

The XP SP2 machines are using roaming profiles, and the permissions on the
network share are full control. The account used to copy the profiles is
part of a Domain group that is added to the local administrators group. And
it is copying another users' profile.

It seems it is a permissions issue with the domain account on the local
profile - not access to the remote share. But the Domain account trying to
copy the profiles is included within the local Admin group, and the local
Admin group has full control permissions to all folders, sub-folders, and
files.

The process being used to copy the profiles is - Open System Properties,
select the Advanced Tab, select the Settings button under User Profiles,
highlighting a profile, then selecting the Copy To button. We then put in
the remote share (like we have been), and an access denied errors pops up.

What can we be missing??

Thanks

Share permissions, full control for everyone? Relevant subfolder/NFTS
permissions are what?

Just out of curiosity, if you have roaming profiles, why are you trying to
do this? The profile changes should be updated/uploaded to the user's
designated profile path as set in ADUC, when they log out.
