Copy utility ?

I have a UMax ASTRA4000U scanner & wn I go to copy
utility I keep getting "scanner link failure"
Is there any thing I can do?

How long is your USB cable? I had the same problem with my Canon
Scanner. I bought a shorter cable and the problem went away.
