I'm in the habit of saving the content of posts which interest me
to a file for that purpose.
I'm thinking I might be slicker just copying the URL
Just one thing though, how long will posts be available to view,
is there a time period when older posts can no longer be viewed?
How do you guys keep your info organised?
Thanks

I keep mine disorganized. Some in Notepad text files, some in MS Word text
files and some in an Excel file that I use when responding to newsgroup
postings. They are in no particular order and as I grow older, my memory of
where specific files are grows dimmer. But I am content with the fact that
98% of any potential code structure that might be needed is there somewhere.

I use Forte Agent as a news reader.

I can just click on the "keep" button to prevent deletion of those posts
that interest me. They stay on my computer and cannot get lost or dropped.

The rest get purged on closing.

Occasionally I copy those "keepers" to a central folder which is searchable
using keywords, authors or dates.

I believe you can do that in OE also.

Also all my outgoing posts are automatically stored in a folder when sent.

Since you are using the CDO Interface I would suggest you save to file since
posts have a habit of dropping off the board and URL's and message ID's may
not be valid.

Better yet..............start using a real news reader.
