Copy shortcut to user desktop

Hi,

I'm trying to copy a shortcut file to the desktop of one
of the users on my network. I can't go to that PC because
it is far away. I tried to access that PC using the hidden
C share, but I couldn't access it.

I need a quick way to copy the shortcut there. Can someone
help?

\\computername\C$\ .....documents and settings, username, desktop.
