Copy Permissions for a Subweb

I am changing ISP's. In order to move the files I used
the frontpage import utility to bring the latest version
of the website to my local disk, and the frontpage publish
utility to move the site from my local disk to the new
ISP. During this process, I lost all of the unique
permissions for a directory that I had turned into a
subweb. The permissions don't appear on the copy on my
hard drive, in fact, the directory that was a subweb
appears to be a normal subdirectory on my hard drive.

I still have my account open with my old ISP, is there a
file or two that I need to copy over to my new ISP to get
that permission list to work at my new ISP?

Permissions do not transfer. they must be set up again on the new host.

You need to open the remote site in FrontPage and Select File > Publish web.. ( Publish site in FP
2003 ) and Publish to your hard drive.

Import does not bring the entire site.

Even then you will probably have to reestablish the permissions on the new server, because depending
upon the server type, the permissions files are maintained in a location that is outside of the web
and won't be included in the "Publish" process.
