You do realize, right, that Excel records typically are not well-normalized,
and to get the best use of Access, you need to feed it well-normalized data?

An alternate approach to simply cut/paste is to use Access to link to the
Excel spreadsheet as a (probably not well normalized) table, then use
queries to parse the data from that raw input into more permanent (and
better-normalized) Access tables.

Good luck!

Jeff
Maybe you know this one, I have spreadsheets that capture a small amount of
data. All the spreadsheets are the same and the data is the same. I use to be
able to cut and paste the data into the access table and then build reports
from there. Problem with the NEW 2007 access is I get this error when I paste
the spreadsheet into the table. It used to work. I can paste each cell
individually, but if I try to paste the 13 columns and 6 rows, it errors.
Any ideas???
ERROR: The Data on the Clipboard is Damaged, so Microsoft office can not
paste it"
