I have a friend using Win XP who advises me that his Copy/Paste won't work.
Any ideas?

He probably has a malware/virus infection.

Lots of things, but we'd need more details.
Try a really simple test using notepad.
Does the copy/paste work with the mouse and not
with the menu bar? Or is it not working regardless
of how it is invoked?

Can you copy from notepad to say..wordpad?
Is the copy and paste from windows explorer
working?

Copy/Paste Problems? Click Start, Run, and enter these lines:

regsvr32 ole32.dll (Press Enter key)
regsvr32 /i shell32.dll (Press Enter key)

Also try Kelly's tweak (you'll find instructions at the top of the page).
