After doing a destructive recovery, system still has same
problems. What could I try next?

Hi,

As you said it is a "destructive" recovery, you better
perform a repair install of XP; I personally prefer to
perform a clean install of XP.

If you have the orginal XP CD, boot from the CD and select
repair install of XP or select delete the existing OS and
perform a clean install of XP. No matter what you want to
choose, backup your important dat first for just in case.

For email, remove the first letter m from my email address.
